It is time for our movie debut! Students worked together to learn about character traits and incorporate them into science and health goals. We used the 7 elements of digital storytelling when we filmed. PowerPoint was used to create this video, as well as a Windows Live Movie Maker, a digital camera, and a song from iTunes. While this was a smaller video, this lesson could have been expanded. Currently, schools use the trait posters shown in this video throughout the yeart o surround students with positive examples of ideal traits.
What a great idea for character traits! Your student's did such a good job with their examples of seeing character traits in action.
ReplyDeleteFor future use I might consider finding music with less words only because at her certain points in the video it was a little hard to hear what the students were saying.
But really good video!
Awesome video!! I am with loveofthelamb too that I would have used a song with less words to reduce the vocal clutter that arose at certain points in the video. But, who cares. Good job! The thing that I found most interesting was that it actually looked like the kids were excited about doing the video. That goes a long way in the students reaction to actually being in a movie. Maybe another criticism could be to have the children mic'ed up so that we could hear them a little clearer but this was a problem in my video as well. Which of course is something that you learn you need after you are in post production.
